1971 - ESTABLISHMENT
The company was founded in 1971 as an individual, by Efthymios Garoufalis, based in Patras (Saint Andrew and Gerocostopoulou). Its main activities were the trade & installation of glass & mirrors in homes & stores.

1979 - PIONEER & VISIONARY
As early as its first years of operation, the company took a leading role in the Patras market and other areas through the insight, labor and vision of the profession as a whole, the founder of Garufali Efthymiou. As partners and competitors still acknowledge today, the founder of the company has been a leader in the area and his ideas have always been innovative and have remained timeless.

1980 - THE 1st RELOCATION
The company's first transfer to a privately owned facility took place in 1980, in the area of ‘ Exo Agya Patron’. In a spacious 500 sq m building, with a crane bridge, the company was able to develop its competitive advantages easier.

1985 - THE 1st IMPORT
At the beginning of 1985, the Company carried out the First Import of Glass Directly from a Foreign Factory. It was the trigger for achieving the full import of all goods (glass) as "GAROUFALIS GLASS Co." which has been the case up until today.

1986 - THE BEGINNING OF WHOLESALE TRADE
The company is slowly becoming a wholesale regulator of the wider Achaea market, selling small boxes of glass & mirror mainly from its head office. The very good price policy pursued by the company gradually made it autonomous from the Greek trade as it increased imports of glass until all the Glass Panes traded came directly from foreign glass production plants.

1987 - SECOND GENERATION
Gradually since 1987, the company with the entry of both sons of Efthymios Garoufalis, Panagiotis & Giorgos Garoufalis, has changed its institutional form from an individual to a partnership company.

1988 - THE FIRST DOUBLE GLAZING GLASSES
In 1988, the company launched the Construction of Thermoinsulating Double Glazing. It is worth noting that since then, and in contrast to the overwhelming majority of the time, the glue of the Double Glazing Glass - GAROUFALIS has been using Sulfur by manually mixing the two components for unparalleled quality of construction.

1993 - THE GREAT RELOCATION
In 1993, the construction was completed and the relocation was carried out in self-owned facilities in the Lower Syhaina area. On a 4 acre plot, the new premises consist of a housed industrial building and a warehouse with a total surface area of 2,500 sq m. as well as accountancy and administrative offices.The investment was financed from own funds! The new building has 3 40m crane bridges with a 5-ton lifting capacity each. 4 loading ramps serve small and large freight wagons of professional glasses as well as individuals. It was the big step towards the company's rapid development.

1994 - WHOLESALE TRADE EXPANSION
At the end of the rellocation, the company was now able to develop the wholesale trade of glasses even more and more geographically. With the purchase of a three-axled crane truck and the already wide stock of imported glass containers, the company is on a considerable footing in this area for the next 2 decades.

1998 - THE FIRST ENERGY DOUBLE GLASSES
Before the end of the 20th century, the company had already imported and built the early form of the later so-called "Energy Double Glass". The windows of the time operated mainly with the reflective property, thus preventing the sun from entering the buildings. It was the beginning of an era with the main focus of energy saving as much as possible from the glass panes of the building, which were increasing proportionately with the masonry of the buildings. From the beginning the company has shown the very sensitive reflexes that it has towards innovation!

2005 - CNC GLASS PROCESSING MACHINE
In 2005, the company is taking a big step by adding to its already large mechanical equipment a CNC Glass Processing Machine. It was the springboard for completing the company's production since, through this addition, it now has all the available processing machines and expands the gamut into Glass Architecture designs, leading to an upward path and the interior decoration called "Glass Architecture". The value of the investment was from the company's own capitals which is a proof of its healthy growth.

2006 - NEW PRODUCTION OF DOUBLE/TRIPLE GLASSES
A complete upgrade of the Double/Triple Glass Production Line was carried out by the company in 2006, with the acquisition of a new 12-meter semi-automatic washing machine, butyl application machine and an adhesive automatic mixing of two cold sulfur components

2008 - COATING ACTIVATION
In addition, the same year, a new, more modern automatic glass cutting bench with more sophisticated software and more speed was also acquired, replacing the previous one. It is worth noting that the new automatic cutting-off bench has the potential for a circumference in the energy coating of Energy Technology Glass (soft coating 3rd generation). These two investments were financed again from the company’s own funds. With this addition, as early as 2008, the company had already been able to offer the Greek market the so-called DOUBLE4 SEASONS.

2012 - THIRD GENERATION
Since 2012, with the initiatives by the third generation's "representative" Efthymios P. Garoufalis (Economist - BSc Economics University of Patras), the company is labeled "CAROUFALIS GLASS", evolves in communication, develops a logo, enters the web, social media and aquires a leading role in the wider market.

2019 - EXPORTS
Since 2019, the company's development has been expanding beyond borders. The company has dynamically opened up on international markets with extensive exports of Special Double Glazing to the US, Northern Europe & Australia. With quality & certification in mind, the DOUBLE GLASSES - GAROUFALIS insulate building blocks around the world!
